New Patio Dining Set

My husband and I bought our first patio dining set this summer. WEEEE!! It’s amaze-balls and I’m not exaggerating. Every year we walk around Weigand’s and drool over their beautiful patio sets and then have a heart attack after we look at the price tag. This year, however, we decided to take the plunge. We needed to spend more money to get a heavy duty set that had some weight to it. Our patio is raised around 2 or 2.5 feet off the ground and the wind out here gets serious. I’ve been known to have to chase our furniture and cushions down in the empty lots on our street during storms and the chairs were NOT light weight and still got taken with the wind.

Anyway, what made us buy this set is that
a.) it’s rectangular, lots of big patio sets are oval and I wasn’t interested in oval.
b.) it’s large, it easily seats up to 10 with 2 self storing leaves to make it smaller/larger
c.) it’s a color that matches our existing patio lounge set
d.) its chairs have decorative metal bottoms that don’t REQUIRE cushions be used, rather than the cheap plastic straping many chairs have that often break and ALWAYS require cushions be used. Cusions can be annoying because if you want to maintain them you constantly need to remove them and store them and keep them out of the rain so they don’t get moldy etc.

Here you can see close ups of the colors between our existing lounge set and our new set. Almost a perfect match!

We still need to buy an umbrella for this table and our existing lounge table but we couldn’t spend the money on it this year. MAYBE next year we will be able to. I’m sort of thinking I want red umbrellas? We’ll see 🙂
